Stephanie is currently the Ambassador for the Boston chapter of the global organization, Women of Wearables. She is also a scholarship recipient of Fabricademy, a transdisciplinary course focusing on the development of new technologies applied in the textile industry.
Her background spans research in materials science, textiles and electronics. At HP, she was involved in digital textile printing and printed electronics. At the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center she worked on chemical-biological textiles and developing ionic liquid gel-based supercapacitors as wearable energy storage. She has a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and Tufts University, respectively. She is also a Department of Defense SMART scholarship recipient.
She is passionate about the process of transforming novel material affordances into new wearable product designs.
